 Münster, September 2006 - Olympus Soft Imaging Solutions released the new iTEM Solution Tomography for acquisition, reconstruction and visualization of electron tomography image series.
The iTEM Solution Tomography is the most convenient way to obtain 3-D data from 2-D images – automatically. Its user-friendly workflow makes it easy to get the best results from a tomography tilt series acquired on any applicable TEM system – even for less experienced users.
The comprehensive alignment routine aligns images reliably along the tilt axis before the FFT-based back-projection algorithm provides a preliminary idea of the resulting z-stack. The z-stack is then visualized using the SliceViewer and VoxelViewer. The resulting 3-D model can be explored or zoomed to get all the information that was previously not obtainable.
iTEM Solution Tomography is fully integrated in iTEM, the TEM imaging platform.
