I first started working for Olympus Soft Imaging Solutions as a seminar instructor while studying biology at university. I quickly decided that this was an environment where I wanted to continue working. After completing my studies, alongside my work in the seminar department, I was able to gather experience in customer support and sales support. Little by little, there were always new opportunities for expanding my abilities in further training courses and to add new tasks to my range of activities for the company.
When the Customer Support Center and the trainingCENTER were opened, I switched over to the Sales Support area. Initially active in both light and electron microscopy, I began to devote my efforts to electron microscopy over time. This is where I took a position as a key account manager for a well-known OEM. Shortly after that, I was given total responsibility for our ASP (Authorized Sales Partner) business.
The opportunity for ongoing further development is what I find fascinating about my job. This applies to my own personal development and career as well as to the opportunity to play a significant role in developing new products. Via my trips and contacts around the world, I get to know different kinds of people. That is exciting. I find it motivating to be able to offer our customers, sales partners and colleagues innovative solutions. Being on-site and being able to provide the customer with a solution for their specific situation and demands is something that I find just as satisfying today as I did when I first began.
