Team spirit
Our employees are people that team up together to shape our world and make it better. Here every team is as good as the quality of the cooperation. This has to be more than cooperation, it has to create synergy. This produces a top team in which the result is more than the sum of individual qualities, qualifications and skills. But a top team of experts alone is not enough to accomplish our lofty goals in the agreed time and quality. To do this, communication must also be arranged between the areas of work. Because every team has multiple interfaces to other divisions and organizations. That is why there are uniform structures and processes at Olympus. They are based on our years of experience, are continuously checked to make sure they are up to date, and adjusted when necessary.
Knowledge management
Despite team support and process structuring, Olympus is particularly successful because of its excellently trained and performance-oriented employees. We appreciate this and support it. External and internal arrangements for continued training for both professional and private purposes are explicitly desired and are a permanent part of the annual employee appraisal interviews. Every year there is a seminar catalog with a select program for human resources development. In addition to outside trainers and moderators we purposely rely on our managers for our numerous instruction and advanced training programs. On the one hand this guarantees the direct transfer of knowledge, and on the other hand it supports the internal network at the same time.
Vocational training and support for junior employees
Olympus has set itself the objective of preparing as many junior employees, skilled personnel and managers from our own ranks. So for us the training of young people is an investment in our future that we happily accommodate with our in-house training, among other things. Furthermore, we keep in close contact with interested students who are working for us in a work/study program, are pursuing an internship, are writing their bachelor's or master's thesis, or can be hired through a training program after graduation. The possibilities are as diverse as the people who work for us.
