Therefore at OSIS we are continuously trying to optimize the basic conditions in our company in order to reconcile professional necessities with private needs as well as possible. In this respect we address the needs of our employees and take them into account in our decisions. Work/life balance – the compatibility of career, family and leisure – is not a marketing slogan at OSIS. It is our self-image that we put into practice.
Flexible work hours
Our flextime arrangement allows flexible time management with any number of interruptions between 06:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. We have done away with normal working hours and fixed break times. Overtime is accumulated in a working time account and can be cashed in by the hour or by entire days. This way we lay the foundation for high flexibility and reach the objective at the same time.
Parental leave
We are happy about the many mothers and father in our ranks. We make it possible for everyone – whether managers or employees without management responsibilities – to take months of parental leave. And for the fathers and mothers who return to work on a part-time basis during their parental leave, we subsidize the costs of child care. In addition, we maintain close contact with our colleagues during their parental leave, whether by sending our regular employee newsletter or by inviting them to parties and general meetings. An employee who is well informed will be integrated back to work quickly.
Caregiver leave and more
To have to take care of a close family member presents special challenges. Within the framework possible for us as a company we want to do what we can so that colleagues in this difficult situation are not left alone. Therefore at OSIS there is a “care giving guide” that assists our employees on the matter of “care giving” with lots of contacts and addresses.
